Haat-Mercodor shredders come in 2, 3 and 4 shaft designs which avoid choking of the shredder and motor damage.  These shredders when faced with materials which cause choking, automatically change direction of rotation of the motors, thereby eliminating the possibility of motor temperature rise.  After a certain period of time, the forward motion is once again actuated.

Reduces costs

Since there is a substantial volume reduction of waste, storage space is reduced and hence storage and transportation costs.  By using simple conveyors to convey shredded material to desired spots, transportation costs can be reduced.  It is possible to segregate and recover re-usable, recyclable materials which could earn money for the user.
